July 21 – 26, 2026 · New England
Boston. Fenway. The Atlantic. A family week on the North Shore.
The Big Picture
Boston for culture and family. The North Shore for salt air and sun. Hampton Beach for long mornings with nothing to do but watch the Atlantic. A Red Sox game woven in for good measure.
The Itinerary
Tuesday · July 21
Boston
Day One
Fly in, check in, and do absolutely nothing that requires a schedule. Tonight is just the three of you — a quiet dinner somewhere good in the Back Bay or South End, Erin's pick entirely. No family, no itinerary, no alarm. Let the trip begin the right way.
Wednesday · July 22
Lowell & Fenway
Day Two
Morning in Lowell with family — the National Historical Park,
canal tours, and the mill district that tell the story of a city built
by immigrant hands. Lunch downtown, then back into Boston for an afternoon
Duck Tour on the Charles River with the nieces.
Then: Fenway Park at night. Red Sox vs. Baltimore Orioles, 7:10 PM.
There is no better ballpark in America.
Thursday · July 23
Boston
Day Three
A morning visit to the Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help —
one of the most beautiful churches in New England, a Minor Basilica
with a healing tradition going back to the 1870s. Worth the stop.
Afternoon on the Freedom Trail — Boston Common, the State House,
Faneuil Hall, the cobblestone streets of the North End.
Dinner in the North End. Then check out in the morning:
the coast is calling.
Friday · July 24
Hampton Beach, NH
Day Four
Check out of Boston and drive an hour north to Hampton Beach, New Hampshire.
The VRBO sits right at the north end of the strip — walkable to the water,
steps from the boardwalk.
Check in, drop the bags, and get on the beach. No agenda after that.
Dinner on the strip, walk the boardwalk, decompress.
The coast is yours for two nights.
Saturday · July 25
Hampton Beach, NH
Day Five
Two full days on the Atlantic. This one is completely unscheduled —
morning on the beach, afternoon wherever the mood takes you.
The Casino Ballroom is steps away for the evening if the energy is there.
This day belongs to the three of you.
Sunday · July 26
Hampton → Home
Day Six
A slow Sunday start in Hampton. Coffee on the balcony, one more walk
on the beach. Boston Logan is 50 minutes south — no rush.
Fly home with salt air still in your hair.
What Makes It
Friday and Saturday at Hampton Beach — right at the north end of the strip, walkable to the water. The boardwalk, the Casino Ballroom, and the open Atlantic, all within steps. Two full days with nothing on the agenda but the ocean.
Wednesday evening: Red Sox vs. Baltimore Orioles. The oldest ballpark in the major leagues, Lansdowne Street buzzing before the first pitch, Sweet Caroline in the eighth. There is no better setting for a summer night in America.
Tuesday's quiet arrival dinner. Wednesday's family day in Lowell and Duck Tours on the Charles. Thursday's Freedom Trail walk and North End dinner. The city in full — without trying to see everything at once.
July 21 – 26, 2026
Salt air, city lights, and a ballpark under the summer sky. The three of you. All that's left to do is say yes.
